Baltonsborough was next on our UK itinerary, overnight with new friends we'd met in Venice in 2016, Karen and Tom Page. After an explore of their village and church (including impressive St Dunstan who'd led the devil by the nose) they took us on a foot tour of Wells, England's smallest town. Thanks for your hospitality guys, and to Karen for some of the photos as GirlRob left her camera behind (impossible to believe, eh?)

Stopped off at Stow-on-the-Wold in the Cotswolds and met a smiling dog. Charming villages, but impossibly narrow roads. Shopping would have been great if we'd had a spare suitcase! On to historic Bath with its yellow stone buildings and "Circuses".

13 June 2018

Followed the river up the valley through Brecon Beacons National Park. Rolling green hills, wild ponies. Camped overnight at Llangorse Lake, with its Welsh Crannog (ancient dwelling) and legends of King Arthur. Exited via Abergavenny (yes we sang the song) (badly) and watched narrow boats on Monmouthshire and Brecon Canal.
