We took a night safari spotlighting the nocturnal animals in Etosha NP, and got more than we bargained for, coming upon two male lions killing a black rhino - it took almost all night. The cats hung around the waterhole over the next couple of days, alongside jackels, hyena and Maribou stork, keeping hundreds of other thirsty animals at bay. On other days, we came across zebra fighting, and two lion cubs we suspect had been abandoned. The reality of life “in the jungle”.
