BoyRob spent restless night worrying whether seal had perished over 9 months and dripped oil into transfer case. GirlRob sat in back of vehicle to identify where rattle coming from. Huge relief when discovered air filter top was loose and making all the racket. Screwed in - problem solved! Fuelled up in Andorf, called into Erich's workshop but too busy for our truck until afternoon. Stopped at bakery for breakfast of rolls, juice, ham and cheese. Shopped at supermarket (will be great to have fruit, veggies, cereal, and yogurt to finally start feeding ourselves!)
Back to farmhouse, avoiding the ring-necked pheasant along road, spotting poppies amongst wild flowers, and stopping to say hello to yak-like cows with long fringes in their eyes. More sorting and adjusting of cupboards and lockers. GirlRob pulled out all clothes drawers, winter duffle, and emptied bolster, taking all upstairs to try/keep/discard into darkening afternoon, finishing with satisfaction as wind and rain arrived.
|Wow - a robot lawnmower!!|
BoyRob drove back to Raab to work on truck, dropping off perished/expired food bags at town rubbish dump on way. Finally satisfied with service, seals, filters, oil levels, brakes etc, as well as repairs to back box and replacement tyres. Filled up water tanks, toilet and windscreen container. Will check stove, heater and hot water once on road. Finished our day with salmon pasta in microwave for dinner - 12 days since leaving home, so nice to have simple fare!
